Grosse Pointe Theatre members take pride in their productions and in the friendships they gain by working together for a common goal. We all strive to fulfill our mission to connect, create and inspire communities through theatre. We are all volunteers from many surrounding communities and we welcome new members!

• Participate in Performances – All performers and backstage crew chiefs are required to be members of Grosse Pointe Theatre

• Ushering – Ushering performances is an exclusive benefit for Grosse Pointe Theatre members. This is your opportunity to see each show for FREE and to get involved and meet our patrons. (Savings of at least $175!)

• Membership Meetings – Grosse Pointe Theatre members are invited to five membership meetings each year to keep up on everything that’s happening at GPT. These meetings are also a wonderful chance to meet and chat with other members.

• Voting – Members are able to vote in the annual election for officers and for Clarence Award winners once you have seen all shows each season.

• Workshops/Education – Workshops offer new directors, writers and performers, a voice and place to share their talents. Specific education classes are also offered throughout the year. These workshops are FREE for members.

• Volunteer Roles – GPT depends on our members to help build sets, sew costumes, find props, design lights, coordinate make-up and hair, and much more! There are opportunities and jobs for all skill sets and levels from beginner to expert.

• Sock & Buskin – Our bi-weekly official newsletter is an electronic publication. Check out new information and stay up to date with what’s going on!

• Annual Dinner Dance – Members receive a reduced admission price to the annual dinner dance, held in the summer to celebrate the shows of the past season. 

• Social Times – Beyond the spotlight of the stage, GPT is a “family” that offers a welcoming community. Special social events are available to all members and help us stay connected.

• Full Flex Packages offer the highest flexibility with Five (5) Redemptions for those who would like to select their shows and performance dates now, or later.

• Redemptions can be booked online at your convenience at any time and can be used in any combination – one or multiple tickets for selected shows.

• When you book your redemptions, you will select the performance date and your seat(s) for the show at that time.

• You may select all, or of some of your performance dates at time of package purchase if you wish. After adding package(s)s to your cart, you can select the events by clicking the Calendar link at the top of the checkout screen.

• Free Exchanges - You may exchange your tickets for any performance date of any Mainstage series, with no price adjustments. Exchanges must be made 72 hours prior to the performance time by calling the office at (313) 881 – 4004  or emailing TicketOffice@gpt.org.

• Packages offer the highest flexibility with Three (3) Redemptions for those who would like to select their shows and performance dates now, or later.

• Redemptions can be booked online at your convenience at any time and can be used in any combination – one or multiple tickets for selected shows.

• When you book your redemptions, you will select the performance date and your seat(s) for the show at that time.

• You may select all, or of some of your performance dates at time of package purchase if you wish. After adding package(s)s to your cart, you can select the events by clicking the Calendar link at the top of the checkout screen.
