2023 Season of Giving Campaign at A Christmas Carol

Thank you so much for coming to see Maryland Ensemble Theatre's FUN Co. production of A Christmas Carol!

When you donate you are supporting both MET and the community partner organization that you see on stage at the start of the performance. MET will split all of the donations 50/50 with the community partner organization present at each performance. Donations will use the donations where ever they are most need with their given organization. Thank you for donating!!!!

Funds given during the Friday, December 15th at 7:30PM performance will support The Frederick Center and MET.
The Frederick Center exists to support and advocate for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) people and our families so we thrive, accepted and affirmed, in the broader Frederick community.

Funds given during the Saturday, December 16th at 2PM performance will support City Youth Matrix and MET.
City Youth Matrix connects youth with enrichment opportunities so they may achieve their full potential in life.

Funds given during the Saturday, December 17th at 7:30PM performance will support AARCH Society and MET.
(African American Cultural & Heritage Society)
The AARCH Society identifies, collects, preserves, and makes publicly accessible through our programs and services the objects, artifacts, and stories about the history, rich heritage and culture and the contributions of African Americans in Frederick County past and present and in doing so educates, enriches and enlightens this and future generations.

Funds given during the Sunday, December 18th at 2PM performance will support
the Love for Lochlin Foundation and MET.
The Love for Lochlin Foundation Inc.'s mission is to prevent, educate, and drive awareness to the deadly impacts of the Flu and Sepsis in Frederick County Maryland. They work tirelessly so that no more lives are lost to Flu or SEPSIS due to the lack of access to resources in our community.

MET's Mission:
We are a professional, collaborative theatre ensemble broadly connected to our community by inspiring passion for the arts with courageous, relevant, accessible programs that enable people to feel more, think deeper, and laugh longer.

All of these organizations are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization serving community members right here in Frederick County. MET is a proud partner of each of these organizations. Maryland Ensemble Theatre’s Mission
We are a professional, collaborative theatre ensemble broadly connected to our community by inspiring passion for the arts with courageous, relevant, accessible programs that enable people to feel more, think deeper, and laugh longer.

About Maryland Ensemble Theatre
MET is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN #52-1964330), incorporated in 1997 – celebrating its 26th MainStage season. MET is Frederick’s only ensemble theatre company and producing theatre company in the downtown Arts & Entertainment District. Recent productions include Angels in America Parts One & Two, A Christmas Carol, Dragons Love Tacos, Inebriated Holiday, and Comedy Extravaganza, and Musical Cabaret Bingo.

Performances, Education, and Accessibility
The goal of MET performances is to enlighten, engage, and entertain audiences while keeping ticket pricing reasonable so that more people can enjoy professional theatre right here in Frederick. Our performances and education programs enhance the cultural and educational experiences of children, adults, and seniors providing a better quality of life. Annually, we reach about 20,000 community members through performance art-based classes, camps, performances, and in-school theatre arts residencies.

To make theatre more accessible for our community members and visitors to Frederick, MET launched the Pay What You Will Ticket Initiative in the Fall 2022, which ensures that the performing arts is accessible to community members who may not otherwise afford a full price ticket. A set quantity of tickets are available starting at $5 for each show, and we offer student, veteran, and senior ticket rates. MET offers ASL interpreted performances and audio description services for each MainStage show run to support our deaf/hard of hearing and blind/ low vision patrons.
