Frank Greene Fund for New Work

Donate to support MET's fund for programs, staged readings, workshops, playwrights,  story circles, round tables, devised work processes, and other expenses that support the development of new work.  This fund was named in memory of the late Frank Greene, performer and late husband of MET Trustee Dr. Suzanne Beal. Both Frank and Suzanne's legacy at Maryland Ensemble Theatre represents their deep commitment to the performing arts. MET is honored to continue creating new works in Frank's name. May he rest in peace.
Leonard Diggs Fund (Improv 101)
Created by his fellow classmates in memory of MET's Ensemble School Student Leonard Diggs, who passed away, your donation will support future students in need of a scholarship to participate in Maryland Ensemble Theatre's Ensemble School Improv 101 class.
MET Key Stage Capital Campaign
For nearly 30 years, Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) has been Frederick’s professional, collaborative theatre ensemble—connecting with the community through courageous, relevant, and accessible programming that inspires audiences to feel more, think deeper, and laugh longer. Now, we’re taking the next bold step in our growth and inviting you to help make it possible.
We’re launching a Capital Campaign to create MET Key Stage, a new comedy and cabaret space in the historic FSK Hotel Building. This venue will be the dedicated home for MET Comedy and our five resident troupes, while also offering much-needed classroom and performance space for our growing Ensemble School and Fun Camp programs. The Key Stage will bring a dynamic, street-level presence to MET, expanding our capacity, increasing visibility, and revitalizing the historic Wedgewood Room, which hasn’t hosted public gatherings since 1975.
Our goal is to raise $175,000 to transform this currently unused space into a fully equipped, flexible venue. Thanks to a generous $75,000 lead gift from a private foundation, we’re off to a strong start. Your contribution will fund construction, equipment, and launch programming. Donors of $150 or more will be recognized on the Key Contributors Wall.
Now more than ever, we need spaces that bring us together to laugh, connect, and heal. Help us build the stage where the next great laugh begins.
Let’s create MET Key Stage —together.
