A new premiere theatre and rental space is coming to Baddeck, NS!
We are thrilled to be the new long-term tenant of Greenwood United Church and to be on a journey to convert it into the Greenwood Arts Centre!
THE MISSION
- A long-lasting home for Theatre Baddeck that will increase our capacity, ensure our sustainability, boost our production values, and improve the visitor experience for our patrons.
- Increased Theatre Baddeck programming happening year round that will include more arts education, movie screenings, and more!
- A quality rental space for the local community and cultural producers across the country. The GAC will be perfect for meetings, events, receptions, conferences, dinners, and so much more. It will also attract quality cultural offerings from other producers, which will enrich local culture all year round.
- Did we mention movies? Yup, say hello to Baddeck's new cinema!
Theatre Baddeck has received support from all three levels of government and completed phase 1 of the renovation. Now we must raise $150,000 over the next 3 years to complete the project.
