Help us fulfil our mission to be a destination for the arts in Central PA, and bring our screening room into the future. We are asking you to contribute whatever amount you can to our crowdsourcing campaign, and together, we can be the future for the arts we want to see in the Centre Region.

The State Theatre is a community-owned non-profit organization dedicated to serving the Centre County region.

We’re a mainstay of the State College community and a proud hub of local culture, featuring artists both homegrown and nationally renowned.

General donations help to support everything we do at The State Theatre. Your help can make a big difference for us!

Become A Member - State Theatre

Members get all sorts of great perks including pre-sale access to national acts! Take a peek at the levels of giving below and sign up today. Membership cards will be mailed within a week of membership purchase. Please ensure to provide current address and e-mail address. Reel Fans

Welcome to the Reel Fans, established in 2015. We are dedicated to supporting film programming at The State Theatre. We love film: indie, classic, foreign, award-winning, AFI top 100 and more. There are lovers of every genre in our midst. We like to see movies in a local theatre with a group of friends or loved ones. We like to get off the beaten path of the top-grossing movies from time to time. Reel Fans memberships last one year from the original purchase date.

Film Director ($500.00 and up)

A donation of $500 or more gives you the opportunity to work with our projectionist to bring a film of your choice to the big screen, bring a plus one to any of our Movie Series, pop-up perks, borrow films from our lending library, and receive free popcorn.

Cinematographer ($175.00 - $499.99)

A donation of $175 or more allows you to bring a plus one to any of our Movie Series, pop-up perks, and borrow films from our lending library, in addition to the rest of the benefits.

Leading Actor/Actress ($100.00 - $174.99)

A donation of $100 or more gives you free access to our Movie Series, small popcorn, pop-up perks, and input in our movie selection process.

The State Theatre Opera Buffs

At The State Theatre, we have an active opera community, The State Theatre Opera Buffs. It keeps growing every year and we’d love to see it continue. We offer great benefits for those that show their support by joining. The continuation of the opera broadcasts hinges on your support.

Grand Opera ($1,000 or more)

• Your name listed as an Opera Buff in the program and on the lobby poster.
• Four (4) free opera tickets. • Four (4) free National Theatre Live, or Movie Series tickets
• Entry to the Opera Buffs reception.
• A State Theatre Opera Buff lapel pin.
