DONATION CAMPAIGNS
2023 LTA Holiday Fundraiser
While LTA was working through the dark days of COVID, time took its toll on other aspects of our theater: our computer's hardware/software, and our Genie, the mechanical lift that allows our riggers and master electricians to reach the curtains and the electrics above the stage safely.
We need to purchase new computers. The computers which run our systems need to have operating system upgrades, but our current computers are too old to run Windows 11. In addition, we need to make our Wi-Fi network stronger to achieve the signals we need to run our front-of-the-house tablets and to better accommodate Zoom and Teams videoconferencing as well as parents who want to log in and work while their children are attending our classes.
Our Genie lift is more than 20 years old and has been subject to many repairs over the past few years, the most recent being this week. Newer models have come out that do not require out-riggers be put in place every time you use the machine making it more efficient and safer.
The cost to update our computer systems and Wi-Fi and to purchase a new Genie comes to approximately $40,000. Our annual fundraiser this holiday season is to address this need. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to help cover these expenses.
